Heartlands Physiotherapy Clinic was formed in 2007 by Claire Todd and Birgit Scott at its current location Cottesbrooke Park in Daventry.

Physiotherapy Diploma Birgit trained in Berlin, Germany and graduated as a Physiotherapist in 1988. She has undertaken extensive post graduate training, which includes orthopaedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, muscle imbalance and soft tissue treatments. Birgit is a fully qualified Acupuncturist. Experience After working in Berlin in private practice, Birgit relocated to England, where she spent 3 years in the South West, working in the NHS, establishing her interest and skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She moved to Northamptonshire in 1993, where she continued to work in the NHS, providing her skilled physiotherapy services both within the hospital environment, in the local GP practices and in private practice. She has over 20 years of experience as a very skilled and personable physiotherapist. Outside Work Birgit enjoys keeping fit in her local gym, hill walking and cycling with her family. She likes being involved with her daughter’s football team, giving professional assistance on and off the pitch. |

(Hons) MCSP
Qualifications Claire graduated from Coventry University in 2001 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. She has undertaken extensive postgraduate training which has included acupuncture, manual therapy and sports specific rehabilitation. Experience Claire has worked both in the NHS and in private practice, where she developed a specific interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She also works at one of the leading Northampton physiotherapy clinics which has a very strong sporting history. Claire has experience in all aspects of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Outside Work She is a keen sports woman and enjoys competing in long distance running, cross country running and triathlon events. |

Qualifications Tina trained as a professional dancer and has been teaching in the health and fitness industry for 14 years. She is a qualified Stott Pilates instructor and has undertaken extensive training in different aspects of Pilates, including advanced Matwork and reformer, Stott Chair Pilates, and Stott Golf and raquet Pilates. Tina is registered with Exercise Professionals (REPs V0 R0036372). Experience Tina works closely with our physiotherapists and leading back surgeon to help clients with posture retraining, facilitate injury prevention and rehabilitation and to improve general strength, flexibility and fitness. She is involved with providing Pilates training and Body Awareness coaching to Elite Olympic athletes at Loughborough University. In the past, she has worked closely with a Para Olympic Rower who, as part of the LTA mixed coxed four, achieved a silver medal in the World Rowing Championships in 2007. |
